I have the privilege of knowing the author, and so appreciate the impact his time in Africa had on his life. But even if you don't know Kyle, this book is a great glimpse into life in the late 1970s, and life as a peace corps volunteer. Kyle's writing is very detailed, and I felt like I could see everything happening. This was a very enjoyable read, and was hard to put down!
